Homework
As a student at Studieskolen you will spend as much time doing homework as you do participating in lessons. Preparation consists of both oral and written assignments.
It is essential that you actively seek out opportunities to experience Danish language and culture in your daily life. You are expected to bring your observations and experiences to class and to use what you learn outside of class.
Homework and preparation for Danish lessons at Studieskolen involves the following:
Beginners
▪ Oral practice of the dialogue and vocabulary in the book
▪ Read/reread the textbook passages and prepare to discuss them in class
▪ Read other easy texts of different types
▪ Complete the written exercises and assignments in the book
Intermediate and advanced students
▪ Listen to the textbook CD at home and practice pronunciation and listening comprehension
▪ Read both textbook passages and authentic texts from all media
▪ Summarize films, articles, and discussions; write stories, interviews, comments, etc.
▪ Practice vocabulary and language structure in systematic written assignments
▪ Research information in printed and electronic media
▪ Prepare for class discussions
▪ Prepare oral presentations
