Studieskolen has summer courses in Danish for Foreigners and in many other languages.
Danish for Foreigners for beginners
Studieskolen offers a three week intensive summer course for beginners which takes place at Studieskolen. The course is designed for students with no prior knowledge of Danish. The course is open to anyone over the age of 17 and residence permits are not required for enrolment in this course. In order to receive the full benefit from the course, we recommend that you speak fluent English. Please find more information about prices and enrolment here.
Danish for Foreigners primarily for foreign students of Danish
These three week summer courses take place at Studieskolen and are held in collaboration with The Council for Internationalization and include language and culture lessons. There will also be a number of social events. There are classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. The courses are primarily for foreign graduate students of Danish language or literature. However, a number of places will also be made available to other interested candidates over the age of 17. Other summer courses in Danish for Foreigners
Copenhagen University offers pre-semester Danish courses (August 6 – 28, 2012) to international students preparing to study at Copenhagen University. To enrol for these courses, please contact The Department of Scandinavian Studies and Linguistics.
Studieskolen’s six week Danish Education 3 courses continue over the summer, starting on July 2 and August 13. Please find the course programme here (from June).
Unfortunately, Studieskolen is unable to provide Danish lessons to candidates under the age of 17. Please contact Danes Worldwide who offers a range of Danish courses for this age group.
